Our white pigment for a broad range of applications
What makes titanium dioxide special
The qualities of the white pigment are wide-ranging. Titanium dioxide is known as the brightest white pigment, and while its ultra-white color provides high luminosity and opacity, it is also able to scatter and reflect light. In addition, titanium dioxide protects against UV light and can absorb it at the same time, and the pigment also scores points with high resistance to heat and weathering. As a photocatalyst, titanium dioxide can minimize pollutants from the environment.
Uses of titanium dioxide
As a pigment with unique benefits, titanium dioxide is found in a wide variety of products – from paints to plastics. Titanium dioxide is characterized by a refractive index that is higher than that of diamonds. This valuable property ensures a luminous and opaque color quality, making it indispensable for opaque paints and coatings.
In addition, titanium dioxide functions in:
- UV filters for plastic window frames
- Paints & varnishes
- Facade paints
- Building paints
- Coatings
- Etc.
